How do I exclude specific file types, extensions, or folder paths from a backup job?

To include/exclude specific file types, extensions, or folder paths in your backup job:

  1. Login to our web portal.
  2. Click the "Backup Settings" tab.
  3. Select "Manage Device Backups."
  4. Click "Edit Backup" after selecting an existing backup job.
  5. To exclude specific paths/folders, click on the Excludes tab then manually input the path which should be excluded. The format of the path may vary across systems, but generally is in the form: "/[volume name]/[share name]/[folder name]/[subfolder-name]/". For example: "/data/share/FolderA/FolderA1" or "/c/share/FolderB/FolderB1".
