Files and folders can be retrieved from your ReadyNAS Vault via Download or Restore.
- For small, individual files and folders, we recommend using the Download method.
- For large folders, we recommend using the Restore method. (If you have a slow bandwidth, you should always use the Restore method.)
To download a file/folder:
- Log into your account via the ReadyNas Vault Website. (Click here to log into your online account.)
- Navigate to the file or folder you would like to download.
- Right-click on the file/folder and select Download. You must have Java installed on your machine. (Click here to check if you have Java installed.)
- After selecting the location you would like to save your file/folder, your secure download will begin transfer.
To restore a folder:
- Log into your account via the ReadyNas Vault Website. (Click here to log into your online account.)
- Navigate to the folder that you would like to restore.
- Right-click on the folder and select Restore Folder. You must have Java installed on your machine. (Click here to check if you have Java installed.)

Select a Destination Device and manually enter the Destination Path where you would like to restore your folder. This device must be connected to your account and the path must be accessible. You can also enable "Overwrite" to replace any similar named folders.

Click Start Restore Now or use the drop-down menu to select a different time to begin the restore.
- Once the restore has been set up, a confirmation message will appear.
